Owl Visit in Key Stage 1

Today, Kent Owl Academy visited Horizon and brought their birds of prey with them! This was to support the children with their learning in science and in English as they study the book 'The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark'.

            

 

Science Day in Year 5

Mr Berry visited Year 5 today to teach them all about forces. They accepted several science missions and carried out lots of exciting experiments to learn all there is to know about the fascinating world of forces.

"We loved it! We enjoyed working in groups and doing all the experiments. Our favourite was the marble run!" Kseniia and Darius. 

                  

                  

Inspirational SteamCo Visit

The incredible SteamCo brought his star ship to Horizon on Friday and inspired the children in the subjects of science, technology, engineering, art and maths (STEAM).

The children had great fun throughout the day.

This is Me Day

Horizon held its This is Me Day. As part of our learning for Black History Month, all of the school community came to school dressed in whichever clothes best represented them.
