Welcome to Year 3's class page. We will be updating you with information about our class throughout the year.
On Monday 27th March 2017, Year 3 completed a sponsored jump for charity week. We raised a total of £38.01. Thank you so much to those people that sponsored the children.

Below are the back covers which have been added to your child's maths and literacy books. These detail some of what is expected by a Year 3 child.
Our topic this term is 'UK and Europe'.

Activity one - Write down five facts about the UK and Europe.
Activity two - Use everyday objects to make your own European landmark.
Activity three - Choose a European mountain and draw it. Label it's features.
Activity four - Find out five facts about the Stone Age or Iron Age.
Activity five - Create your own artefact from the Stone Age or Iron Age.
I will add the homework and spellings that I send out each week.
This is the homework for over half term. Different children had different sheets on commas.
On Tuesday 29th November 2016, Year 3 and Year 4 went on a school trip to Chiddingstone Castle. This was for the marvellous middle for our Egyptian topic. We saw an Egyptian coffin lid, went into an Egyptian museum and were able to design and make our own coffin cases. We has a really fun time. Have a look at the pictures below.
In science, the children are studying rocks. Here are some pictures from the lesson on Wednesday 11th January 2017.
On Thursday 27th January 2017, Year 3 had a European food tasting day as part of our topic on UK and Europe. We made pizza, apple crumble and a salad. It was a lot of fun and we got to cook and taste food that we haven't before!
On Wednesday 8th March 2017 Year 3 went to Chislehurst caves for their science topic on light and dark.
